Saint-Gobain Recognized as Top Employer in North America for Outstanding Workplace Practices

Saint-Gobain North America, one of the world’s largest building materials companies and manufacturer of innovative material solutions, was awarded the Top Employers Institute’s 2020 Top Employer North America Certification for providing an exceptional workplace environment. The Top Employers Institute is an independent global organization that certifies leading companies for their excellent employee offerings and will honor Saint-Gobain for the fifth consecutive year at an award ceremony on February 6, 2020.

The Top Employers Institute conducts a comprehensive analysis of strategic and thoughtful Human Resources programs to identify the best employers around the world that demonstrate the highest level of leadership and deploy a forward-thinking approach to cultivating employee development. Through the global HR Best Practices Survey, the Top Employers Institute administered a stringent evaluation process to rate Saint-Gobain’s performance scores across ten different topics, and 600 HR practices against an international standard. The Top Employers Institute assessed Saint-Gobain’s employee offerings on the criteria of talent strategy, workforce planning, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and company culture.

“It’s a privilege to be recognized among a global community of leading organizations that take a personalized approach to attracting and retaining top talent,” said Carolyn Kelley, Vice President, Talent Management at Saint-Gobain North America. “Each year, the criteria to be recognized as a Top Employer evolves with the workforce and workplace. Being recognized as a Top Employer for five consecutive years speaks to Saint-Gobain’s emphasis on the next generation workforce and our commitment to our people.”

Saint-Gobain has been ahead of the curve in creating a top workplace, earning a spot on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2018, 2019 and 2020 Corporate Equality Index for its diversity and inclusion efforts. Saint-Gobain also continues to enhance its Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for the LGBTQ community, veterans, women, young professionals and multicultural individuals to help employees reach their full potential.
