Job Summary

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Jockey driver is primarily responsible to efficiently operate over the road tractor or yard truck with curtain-side van or box trailer, maintain well organized and clean tractor cab and update required documentation to ensure DOT compliance. Dependability is an essential part of this job as well as the ability to team with co-workers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform job in a safe manner following all Plant and DOT rules/ regulations and training. Perform daily safety inspection and report all unsafe conditions or Near Miss events immediately. Wear all PPE as required. Use hand tools as intended. Follow all DOT over the road regulations and ensure that tractor and yard truck are in good operating order.

     

  • Ensure that the van or box trailer is properly and fully loaded, and that paperwork is completed and routed properly. Inspect tractor, yard truck, curtain-side vans and box trailer daily to insure full operational condition. Perform basic mechanical services and fuel tractor as required. Maintain valid required DOT licensing that includes annual physical, random substance screen and motor vehicle records check.

  • Well lighted throughout work area. Position may be exposed to seasonal temperatures in winter and summer in Plant. Job has a sedentary and ergonomic component. Position is typical of medium industrial environment exposed to dust, grease and other contaminates that require proper management and control through use of approved/ provided PPE

Work Schedule: 2-2-3 (12 hours shift) 6AM-6PM

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Possession of a valid DOT license is prerequisite to consideration
  • Certificates/ Licenses : Valid DOT license with six months to one year related over-the-road hauling experience. MHE certified safety training and operators license.

Experience

  • One Year Related Over-The-Road Hauling Experience (Required)

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the pay rate for this position, which is $28.81 per hour, plus 2nd shift differential of $1/hr. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:

Shift Differentials ($28.81 plus 2nd Shift Differential of $1/ hr)

  • Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
  • Attendance Incentive for Meeting Company Attendance Requirements (1 incentive day earned at regular hourly pay rate if no absences within 6 months on a semiannual basis)

Job Duties:

  • General housecleaning of the work area

Job Goals:

This is a direct manufacturing position responsible for all aspects of manufacturing and testing coated products within Solar Gard San Diego Coating & Laminating Departments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing for a safe work environment, expertise in all aspects of machine operations including normal operations, changeover, trouble shooting, and product quality testing.

Safety

  • Assures a safe work environment taking responsibility for safety of self and others.
  • Reporting (and if possible correcting, initiating correction, or clearly identifying) unsafe conditions or acts to his/her direct supervisor.
  • Take initiative in keeping all areas clean and safe by following applicable housekeeping and safety procedures.

Machine Operations

  • Demonstrate ability to operate all work stations on Lines 1 through 4, including start-up, normal operation of, and shut down.
  • Maintain exemplary attentiveness to and respond appropriately to all aspects of situations on the job during the shift.
  • Perform material handling functions within the department including, but not limited to, mounting and un-mounting rolls on the machine.
  • Perform machine clean-up, set-up and other functions associated with job changes.
  • Clear coating defects on all standard products without assistance from another operator. Perform troubleshooting to assure a safe environment while producing products meeting all quality specifications.
  • Be able to investigate and solve routine coating and web handling problems. This includes knowing when to suggest Process Engineering, or Maintenance’s help and communicating the exact nature of the problem to maintenance.

Quality

  • Assumes full responsibility for the quality of material produced as well as responsible for the results when directing others.
  • Know constructions of all of the products we run and know where to find/how to use product construction resource material.
  • Performs quality control testing for production according to applicable procedures or work instructions. This includes (but is not limited to): UV trans- mission, Surface resistivity, optical density, reflectivity, haze adhesion and scratch resistance of scratch-resistant coating, curl and peel strength per PSTC-1.
  • Investigates nonconforming materials including lot number and materials used analysis through SAP
  • Conducts root cause analysis for special causes of lost production and/or scrap events.
  • Provides real time process troubleshooting support.
  • Supports Quality, R&D, and Process Engineering for special testing requirements including laboratory draw-downs to test the quality of components used to make products and experimental coatings.
  • Perform visual inspection of products and be able to grade them according to visual standards.
  • Perform routine calibration of production test equipment such as optical densitometers.
  • Maintains accurate production, test, and materials records and retains as needed.
  • Perform QC audits of internal processes and procedures.

Maintenance

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance functions including but not limited to machine lubrication, changing filters, and other requirements as assigned by maintenance.
  • Support Maintenance in trouble shooting and correcting machine malfunctions.
  • Support Engineering/Maintenance in installing machine modifications

Continuous Improvement

  • Actively participate on continuous improvement teams
  • Write new/modify existing procedures as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Good written and verbal skills including ability to read/comprehend department specifications and procedures, write brief reports describing operational events and test results. Legible handwriting required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 in at least one eye.

  • Ability to work: in a clean room environment, solvent/chemical environment, overtime and weekends.

  • Assuming the essential functions of the lead operator when he/she is out.
  • Taking the initiative to suggest and implement (with approval) changes to the current standard operating procedures or practices so that the department efficiency, safety, or morale is improved. This includes listening to and guiding the improvement suggestions from less experienced operators.
  • Ability to fill out all department paperwork assigned to operators for all situations. This includes knowing how to handle all routine situations and knowing when and who to ask for help or additional guidance if necessary.

The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $45,700 to $68,600. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]

Job Description

The assembler is responsible producing quality products to specifications of customers as defined on the product prints and routers. Full participation in activities in the clean room (assembly, heat sealing, cleaning, packing, etc.) to achieve on-time shipment goals and efficiency targets.

Essential Functions

• Read product prints and specifications prior to starting assembly process.

• Follow assembly procedures.

• Fill out all paperwork documenting steps performed, quantities, and quality checks performed.

• Collect components for assembly ensuring lot number traceability.

• Clean components and assemblies with alcohol (IPA).

• Package assemblies in plastic bags and heat seal.

• Perform other related tasks, including but not limited to, performing housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

• Observe all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required. Report any accidents and unsafe conditions to management.

• Replenish supplies.

• Must be available for overtime work when necessary.

• Maintain and practice manufacturing procedures.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS  

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).  Efficient and willingness to perform required work with good attendance and attitude.  Understand SOP's relating to the department activities.  Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.  Must be a team player.  Effective communication skills essential - both written and verbal

​PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to stoop or kneel and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist.  Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This position is in a clean room environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated.  Noise levels and temperatures may vary due to areas accessed. There is some exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as alcohol.

Job Description

The assembler is responsible producing quality products to specifications of customers as defined on the product prints and routers. Full participation in activities in the clean room (assembly, heat sealing, cleaning, packing, etc.) to achieve on-time shipment goals and efficiency targets.

Essential Functions

• Read product prints and specifications prior to starting assembly process.

• Follow assembly procedures.

• Fill out all paperwork documenting steps performed, quantities, and quality checks performed.

• Collect components for assembly ensuring lot number traceability.

• Clean components and assemblies with alcohol (IPA).

• Package assemblies in plastic bags and heat seal.

• Perform other related tasks, including but not limited to, performing housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

• Observe all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required. Report any accidents and unsafe conditions to management.

• Replenish supplies.

• Must be available for overtime work when necessary.

• Maintain and practice manufacturing procedures.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS  

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).  Efficient and willingness to perform required work with good attendance and attitude.  Understand SOP's relating to the department activities.  Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.  Must be a team player.  Effective communication skills essential - both written and verbal

• Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to stoop or kneel and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist.  Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Analyst – Payroll Accounting & Reporting will assist the Sr Manager, General Accounting lead the payroll accounting function ensuring comprehensive completion of all payroll related accounting activities and will serve as initial point of contact for the Sr Manager, General Accounting on payroll accounting matters.  This position is responsible for ensuring weekly postings of payroll to the general ledger are complete, preparation of the accounting reconciliations of all payroll related accounts and leading payroll related projects for the North American Shared Service Center (SSC).  The Analyst – Payroll Accounting & Reporting is an agent of change, leading or supporting projects that drive efficiencies through automation and streamlining payroll accounting.

  • Responsible for facilitating day-to-day payroll accounting operations while improving the related SSC accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Provide training and guidance to the North American SSC and the offshore accounting team members.
  • Main Payroll Accounting point of contact with the customer’s management and staff. Must provide high levels of customer service, providing helpful, friendly and informative communications, be proactive in meeting customer needs and requirements, and continuously seek opportunities to improve service delivery for all payroll accounting related activities.
  • Drive monthly close by preparing & approving journal entries, reconciliations, reports, intercompany invoices and balances where needed. Ensure Service Provider and SSC has all required inputs necessary to complete their closing duties.
  • Accountable for the on-time delivery of closing results to customers’ management pertaining to all payroll accounting activities.
  • Monitor and analyze the applicable general ledger activity, preparing account reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are identified and resolved on a timely basis.
  • Ensure compliance by off-shore accounting team, SSC and BU with Saint-Gobain’s Internal Control Reference Framework (“ICRF”) and accounting guidelines established by GAAP and IFRS.
  • Respond to financial and tax audit requests for information and insight with support of Service Provider, if necessary. Supporting reconciliation of payroll systems to general ledger.
  • Research and resolve payroll accounting and accounting systems issues for Business Units. Support Service Provider with proper inputs or approvals for exceptions to accounting or process rules.

Logistics Supervisor
Position Description
Job Summary

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The scope of the Logistics Supervisor oversees all raw materials and shipping day-to-day operations for the Shreveport facility. Ensure the planning; ordering and tracking of raw materials are completed in time to meet production demand. The person in this position will lead the department in training and using SAP (Specializing in raw materials). He/she will coordinate these activities and provide support on all shifts and throughout the plant as needed.

ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for meeting Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Productivity KPIs for the Logistics department.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the raw materials and shipping aspect of the department.
  • Monitor & Manage the rail movements through Union Pacific / KCS railroads. For all raw materials including the cost of demurrage obtained.
  • Manage and order raw materials as required to maintain the production schedule without disruption (Colored Granules, Headlap, asphalt, Copper, etc.)
  • Manage & Cycle Count Raw Material Inventory & communicate as needed.
  • Communicate to outside supply chain and purchasing departments as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining the SAP system with current and accurate information.
  • Report physical inventories, and cycle counts, and communicate to necessary departments as required for finished goods & materials.
  • Provide forecasts for all raw materials as required.
  • Participation in plant improvement programs (i.e. 5S, TPM, SMAT, Team Assignments, Kaizen)
  • Participate in the annual Finished Goods Tagged Inventory.
  • Compliance with raw material and Finished Goods inventory audits.
  • Monitor and maintain assigned areas with regard to housekeeping, 5S standards, FIFO, etc…
  • Perform audits of finished goods product inventory as needed.
  • Monitoring accuracy of raw materials shipped and received.
  • Account Receivable backup by tracking receivers and ensuring they are being entered/turned in as required by Saint-Gobain purchasing
    • Outside Warehouse STO receipts.
    • Reconciliation of all Raw Materials on a Monthly End Basis.

  • Perform accident investigation when incidents occur.
