The Industry 4.0 Integration Lead will provide dedicated support to sites within the Siding Products Group during and after implementation of Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives with the purpose to accelerate integration and future advancement improvements to support business results. The candidate will assist sites in identifying barriers to system adoption and sustainment and will be responsible for recommending, supporting, and leading solutions where necessary. This may range from creating documentation to address simple training gaps to developing tools for improved data analysis and challenging leaders to drive continuous improvement of systems and projects. The candidate will coordinate troubleshooting system performance issues and proposing system improvements including the process of interfacing with the IT team and managing tickets in ServiceNow.

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing team, the candidate will represent the voice of the end user when developing future 4.0 strategies and projects.

Assess the gaps in culture, knowledge, and utilization by engaging all levels of the business from plant floor to business leadership. Build an improvement strategy to effectively close gaps to obtain the financial benefits as well as efficiency and user experience benefits. Lead execution of the developed strategy to achieve and sustain results.

Provide a voice for manufacturing plants to assist in identifying opportunities and needs to assist in developing an effective I4.0 strategy for SPG.

Manage change requests and incidents from creation to implementation and communication.

Develop, plan, and complete assigned projects associated with Siding Products Group Advanced Manufacturing.

Train users on 4.0 systems and projects.

The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,240 $155,120 . Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Mine Maintenance Electrician

Job Summary

Operate extruder machines to produce products which conform to part print. Assure products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards. Set up extrusion equipment to produce parts to specification.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set Up extrusion machines by installing dyes, machine screws, and sizing rings to manufacture parts according to specifications using approved set up sheets to cycle machines
  • Weigh materials and other specified ingredients per specifications/instructions and Load blended materials in hopper on molding machines as needed
  • Operate extrusion machines to produce specified product according to customer specifications and ensuring Quality of the parts.
  • Inspect Parts for defects and make necessary corrections to troubleshoot them out of the process. Escalate when help is needed
  • Utilize the Manufacturing Execution System to update job data, material usage, locate process sheets, view prints, etc.
  • Measure Parts according to print guidelines using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices.
  • Meet Productivity standards on a consistent basis. Escalate issues to management that will affect productivity.
  • Purge machines during the changeover process to ensure the machine is ready for the next cycle.
  • Set Up and Operate the cutter to cut tubing to specified dimensions.
  • Label and Seal Bags
  • Operate the auto winder removing spools f completed product and setting up the next spool to ensure proper operations of the auto winder
  • Set up the printer to properly label tubing per specifications
  • Suggest work instruction corrections/recommendations to help foster an environment of continuous improvement 
  • Perform other related tasks, including but not limited to, performing housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Efficient and willingness to perform required work with good attendance and attitude. Understand SOP's relating to the department activities. Good analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Must be a team player. Effective communication skills essential - both written and verbal

Must be able to properly fill out time reporting and work order documentation. Operational knowledge of injection molding machines is preferred.

​PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to stoop or kneel and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is in a clean room environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated. Noise levels and temperatures may vary due to areas accessed. There is some exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as alcohol.

What’s the job?

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the position is accountable for gathering warehouse products, scanning products into inventory, preparing products for shipment, and loading finished product onto carrier trucks. 3rd Shift Starts on Sunday night

Pay Rate = $17.00/hr + $1.00 shift premium.

Overtime Available - Any hours worked over 40 hours are paid at time and a half.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure load is packed according to specified order, and that the weight is distributed evenly throughout the trailer

  • Organize product inventory and shelving, perform daily cycle counts, and stock material for the partial pick area
  • Operate the wrapping machine in a safe, efficient manner, prioritize pallets according to color and bay

  • Dock trailers for loading using the Ottowa machine

Position Summary

Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to support the receiving and loading functions. This includes loading goods onto trucks, receiving shipments, handling documentation, conducting inventory counts, picking ordered materials, assembling orders into lift configurations, marking shipping instructions onto crates, and packaging as per customer orders. Additionally, this role involves verifying all shipments. This position significantly contributes to the overall shipping function of Bailey Metal Products Limited. Incorrect picking and packaging of materials can lead to back charges, loss of customers, and other negative impacts on Bailey's operations. The individual is expected to accurately receive goods and pick ordered materials as per each customer order, making them ready for loading. They are also responsible for the safe operation of the forklift, pre-use inspections, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Achieving daily targets set by the supervisor is also a key responsibility

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicate with the dispatcher, supervisor, and driver to understand loading requirements and ensure safe, complete, and accurate loading. Verify all necessary paperwork and load safety with the driver after loading.
  • Examine incoming shipments for damage, unload, unpack, verify type and quantity of material, reject damaged items, record shortages, sign and date shipping documentation, pass completed documents to the supervisor, and report any discrepancies.
  • Pick Bailey products as per customer orders and assemble and prepare necessary lifts.
  • Conduct inventory counts.
  • Verify the quantities and types of products to be included in lifts as per the picking ticket.
  • Mark, stamp, and stencil information and shipping instructions onto crates or lifts according to customer requirements and quality control standards.
  • Coordinate and load flatbed trucks and box trucks.
  • Use supplied equipment and tools safely.
  • Examine all outgoing shipments and compare items against bills of lading, picking tickets, invoices, orders, or other records to ensure order accuracy and load safety.
  • Tape broken boxes, re-face, and/or repackage products under the supervisor’s direction.
  • Abide by all Health & Safety rules and requirements laid out by the Company.
  • Serve customers promptly and courteously.
  • Participate in all types of training (job, quality, and safety) arranged by the Company.
  • Carry out any other work assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of warehousing and forklift experience preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of safe operating procedures for forklifts and a valid license is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of equipment/tools such as strapping machines, chop saws, mobile ladders, two-way radios, tape measures, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Bailey’s products, lift configurations, sizes and weights, product stacking requirements, product stocking areas, and container loading.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and long hours to complete customer orders and loading.
  • High school graduate, proficient in speaking and writing English

Job Goals:

A lead position performing material handling, picking, packing, shipping/receiving and Service Center duties.

Responsibilities:

Automation Engineer

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The IPG Automation Engineer will support the development and implementation of electrical and controls projects, provide automation and maintenance support to the plants, and implement process controls in a manner consistent with CertainTeed IPG principles in our twenty-seven (27) manufacturing and five (5) mining facilities across the United States (US). This position will support the implementation of strategic initiatives and capital projects related to process, automation, and power/electrical. The IPG Automation Engineer will be accountable for the execution of improvement -focused projects, and training of staff for multiple sites that include Ceilings, Insulation, Plasterboard, Finishing and Mining operations. This position will also implement process controls tools and assist in using those tools to ensure that processes are in control and process variations are reduced.

  • Develop/Install/Commission Plant Controls & Automation Systems, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, MES Data Collection and IIOT networks. Design and execute retro fit projects involving AC drives, servo drives, HMI and PLC modifications in accordance with Corporate modernization plan.
  • Support Rebuild and Plant Expansion projects which requires extended time away.
  • Direct contractors, third-party controls engineering partners and suppliers.
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, monitor and provide status for all assigned projects.
  • Perform all aspects of project management and design engineering for those projects.
  • Develop Scopes of Work and estimates for potential projects.
  • Monitor compliance in all areas, maintain quality control in every area (budget, scheduling, planning, expediting, receiving, AR/AP) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • “Hands-On” problem solver capable of providing on-site and remote support to multiple plants to solve complex automation related issues and any difficult troubleshooting issues.
  • Collaborate with the plant Production and Engineering Managers to coordinate changes in the production process and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Develop/Enforce Process Controls Standards, Design/Specify Controls System architectures.
  • Support process engineers in process optimization tasks, problems analysis, solution development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Leads and participates in Focus Improvement teams to resolve critical process and production problems with customers and vendors.
