WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
- Process Design and Implementation - Lead the development and implementation of process engineering strategies for manufacturing commercial roofing materials. This includes creating conceptual designs, developing bid packages, and integrating vendor solutions.
- Project Management - Oversee the execution of process engineering projects, ensuring they meet safety, cost, time, and quality standards. This includes developing schedules, budgets, and scopes of work.
- Technical Support - Provide technical support during the commissioning and start-up phases of projects. This includes troubleshooting process and equipment issues and leading on-site commissioning.
- Documentation and Compliance - Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flow diagrams, technical manuals, and training materials. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Vendor Management - Manage relationships with technical vendors and suppliers, ensuring their performance meets project requirements.
- Team Leadership - Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing training and support as needed.
- Industrialization - Optimize industrial processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. This includes analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to reduce waste and increase output.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- 10+ years of experience in Process Engineering, preferably within the building products manufacturing industry, focusing on commercial roofing materials.
- Bilingual in Spanish & English is required. Must be able to read, write, and speak in both languages. This includes developing SOPs, work instructions, diagrams, etc., in both languages.
- Proficiency in process engineering software (e.g., ChemCAD, Aspen), AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, and energy conversion.

- Ability to develop, create, justify, and implement engineering projects. Manager of Change.
- Analyze & Convert manufacturing technology (i.e., convert obsolete/aged equipment to Mfg 4.0)
- Demonstrated problem-solving/analytical ability.
- Project management experience
- Able to coordinate multiple tasks and/or projects and willing to work independently or as part of a larger project team
- Travel requirements – 50% of the time
