Schedule: 12 hour rotating swing shifts (OT as scheduled). Flexibility on short notice overtime assigned.

Salary: Starting wage $22.90/Hour $23.00 (after 480 hours worked probation period)

Job Details:

• Following all safety rules and rules as established in the employee handbook

• Follow standard operating procedures

• Set up line following established equipment settings

• May assist operators with changeovers, set-ups, adjustments, and/or shutdowns

• Fills out maintenance work orders and assists Maintenance Technicians as needed

• Maintains quality of the product on the production line by ensuring product standards are being followed

• Continually monitors product to detect and resolve issues utilizing WCM tools

• Tracks and/or fills out metrics required to accurately close out production work orders

• Aids in minimizing/elimination of process wastes- Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Waiting (Product or Resources), Over-processing, Overproduction, and Defects using WCM tools

• Maintains good housekeeping as established by Operator Duty Sheets and identifies gaps and areas for improvement

• Performs Autonomous Maintenance (CIT clean/lube, inspect, and tighten) on production equipment

• Operates forklift as needed

• Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition

Maintenance Mechanic

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Maintenance Mechanic will support the Norwood, MA CertainTeed production line, manufacturer of asphalt roofing shingles. The mechanic will select and properly use all hand tools and stationary power tools including power saw, welders, etc., as well as diagnose and repair most plant equipment (pumps, gear boxes, rollers, bearings, motors, conveyors, etc.).

 

Work location: Norwood, MA

Shift: 2nd shift Monday-Friday (Mandatory Sundays) 2PM-10PM

3rd Shift Monday-Friday (Mandatory Sundays) 11PM-7AM

Compensation: Starting at $33.38/hr (+ shift differential)

90 day training 7AM-7PM

 

Lots of overtime available!

Annual bonus incentive

Sign on Bonus: $4,000 -to be paid out at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of employment.

 

Responsibilities:

Metal fabrication/welding

Change out worn motors, gear reducers, bearings, etc.

Lubricate and maintain conveyors

Troubleshooting production manufacturing equipment

Other plant maintenance responsibilities as needed

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Currently pursuing/enrolled in accredited college/university pursuing degree (Bachelors or Masters) within Accounting, Finance or related field.

Quality and Process Control Manager

This position is responsible for the leadership and direction of quality systems and process control strategy related to the vinyl siding production process for the Holly Springs, MS plant.   • Collaborates with site leadership, Engineering, and Operations for the planning and execution of experiments on current production processes and implement engineering improvements to optimize process windows.
  • Manage data collection, analysis, prioritization and presentation of results/recommendations for improvements to leadership team and R&D.
  • Identify and deliver cost reduction initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to assure process standardization to minimize variation.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • 10 years of Quality / Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline required
  • Six Sigma green belt preferred

  • Content Creation: Develops and manages an editorial calendar to reach and engage employees with and without a company device. Lead external agencies and partner with internal colleagues for the creation of high-quality internal safety communications content, including strategic campaigns, employee stories, emails, newsletter articles, videos, presentations, mobile app content, digital displays, manufacturing site toolkits and intranet updates. 
  • Branding and Messaging: Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and quality across all external safety-related internal communications. This includes Saint-Gobain corporate brand and internal EHS branded programs and platforms, working in partnership with EHS colleagues.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop initiatives to promote and strengthen employee engagement in Saint-Gobain’s safety culture, including employee safety events, recognition programs, internal events, town halls, and other feedback mechanisms. 
  • Collaboration and Integration: Manages an internal advisory team of EHS, plant operations, HR, and Communications leaders to ensure alignment and integration of safety communication campaigns and priorities.   • Project Budget Management: Ensure all safety communication activities are executed within the assigned budget.

  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of progressive experience managing internal communications campaigns, priorities and initiatives in large, high-matrix organization with a dispersed workforce, combined with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication campaigns and employee engagement activities.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

What’s the job?

  • Ensure all departmental employees are trained as outlined in the CertainTeed Safety and Health Policy.
  • Ensure that the plant produces the required quantity and type of products required by the customer, and at the highest level of quality.
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of reports for all shift activities in daily logs including needed maintenance items and explanations on production failures resulting in lower than standard performance.
  • Effectively communicates objectives and priorities with Supervisors, and ensures development and coaching activities, and performance conversations are conducted in a manner that further enhances the skills and effectiveness of the supervisor team.
  • Advocates and implements the messages from management, as well as operating philosophies.
  • Support the Continuous Improvement efforts for the production line. Support Kaizen events and follow up with Corrective Actions.
  • Oversees training of hourly and salaried associates and makes recommendations to the Production Manager for future training needs.
  • Manages the plant’s daily production function.
  • Direct the effective and efficient use of plant production equipment and associates.
  • Identify and schedule of preventive maintenance by production personnel
  • Provides recommendations on how to streamline and improve the process and improve process capability.
  • Analyzes all procedures to identify and eliminate redundancies, as well as provide feedback for process improvements. Follows exact formulation and process procedures as defined.
  • Ensures consistent and fair application of plant policies, as defined by the collective bargaining agreement, throughout department.
  • Maintains high degree of housekeeping and holds Supervisors accountable for assigned clean-up areas.
  • Provides shift coverage during any absences of the supervisors (vacation, leave, etc.)

Pay Transparency

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,200 to $155,100.

Central Process Engineer, Gypsum

What’s the Job?

Utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles, the Central Process Engineer II supports the execution of the process improvement strategy for the Gypsum Sites. Specifically, and under the direction of the Performance manager, this role assists the plants in the integration of known process knowledge, engineering principles and best practice equipment enabling capable operations. Key areas include: product formulation, process development and optimization, equipment design and optimization, general project engineering, and trial planning and execution.

Safety & Environment

  • Develop an understanding key safety standards and procedures that contribute to a safe workplace environment.
  • Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.
  • Develops an understanding of environmental standards, good housekeeping practices following 5S systems, plant rules and safety regulations.

General

  • Participates on different project teams which analyze process variations; develop solutions and implements corrective actions by using advanced statistical tools in identifying and resolving the root causes for variations in the process.
  • Under the supervision of the Performance manager: Responsibilities include designing / developing new process systems, revising existing processes, and developing and coordinating the implementation of projects, which contribute substantially to plant profitability.
  • Responsible for safely and successfully executing projects, documenting, and with assistance from supervisor communicating progress and results through reports, presentations etc.
  • Closely partners with R&D and Engineering groups to ensure new process knowledge and equipment.

Process Integration

  • Assists plants in execution of key projects as identified on the plant process route map.
  • Supports process teams at the sites by:
  • Assisting the Plant in identifying process gaps to established best practice standards.
  • Aiding the plant in correcting process gaps and issues.
  • Working with site to establish clear process parameters leading to a more stable/capable manufacturing operation.
  • Providing trouble shooting expertise for process and equipment issues where capable
  • Performing equipment studies to verify proper and efficient operation of major process equipment.
  • Assists plants in ensuring process knowledge, operational settings and equipment quality maintenance is sustained via use of Step 0 and other WCM foundational systems.
  • Provides support to project teams during plant rebuilds and start-ups.
  • May assist with product development, capital projects, process implementation and commissioning, and regulatory affairs.

Training & Education

  • Supports training for engineers and local trainers.
  • Support Training of operators and maintenance personnel as needed.

  • Works with the Advanced Manufacturing team to leverage data in all facets of Gypsum Manufacturing.

The Production Associate will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities for the operations in his/her assigned area. The successful candidate will follow plant, departmental, and job safety policies as well as know, understand, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of safe operating procedures, including housekeeping requirements. The candidate should have a basic knowledge and understanding of all quality procedures and guidelines, possess the ability to communicate with the previous shift regarding proper counts and any other issues. The Production Associate will be able to identify the non-quality products and report problems, report unsafe conditions and correct immediately, learn and use computer systems for Quality and Production reporting. The ability to communicate with other associates and areas to ensure a good working environment is imperative. The Production Associate must be able to: • Work a rotating shift schedule on an alternating basis (from days to nights, vice versa) • Report to scheduled work on time every day • Work nights and weekends when scheduled • Work overtime as required • Work in an environment that is hot in the summer and cold in the winter • Wear personal protective equipment that may include: hearing protection, steel toe boots, safety glasses, FR clothing, Hard Hats, masks, and respirators • Lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs. • Carry up to 50 lbs. • Safely operate a powered industrial vehicle (forklift, etc.) • Safely load product on flat bed trailers • Work productively as a member of a team Starting pay is $17.50/hour and benefits begin on the first day of employment!
