WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Plant Controller will be the co-pilot of the Plant Manager of our Jonesbury, MO manufacturing site, assisting them in driving the business forward. This role requires intensity, agility and aptitude to successfully manage multiple simultaneous priorities and projects to financially support a matrix of diverse customers. Focusing on continuous improvement and elimination of non-valued activities is key, as well as strong sense of customer service.

• Partner with plant management to increase plant efficiency and profitability - identify issues and proactively initiate analyses / solutions quickly and accurately, keeping in mind the requirements from GAAP. Meet the needs of a complex, diverse, dynamic and fast paced organization that will pose a wide variety of challenges from a manufacturing level.

• Manage the timely completion of the month-end financial close for the roofing and granule plant, demonstrating awareness of all elements of a plant’s financial statements.

• Prepare analysis to understand the financial ramifications of current and proposed business actions

• Ensure compliance with Saint-Gobain Corporate and Exterior Product Group policies and procedures

• Prepare and coordinate the annual budget at the plant level, oversee and reconcile inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory and assist in preparation of capital appropriations requests

• Project work based on company objectives & supporting / challenging Six Sigma activities with special focus on the financial analysis, and cost reduction projects

• Financial training for non-financial stakeholders - ability to effectively develop people and transfer knowledge down into, and across, the financial and manufacturing organizations

• Attendance in the Plant every day, minimum of Four (4) days per week

• Travel up to 20%.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, CPA, CMA, or MBA preferable (Equivalent, complementary work experience may be substituted) 

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience with a major manufacturing organization. A strong emphasis should be put on knowledge of management accounting, cost and inventory accounting, and GAAP

• Strong analytical skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the plant’s financial result

• Strong communication & presentation skills - capable of leading a process team and able to define clear vision, goals, and service standards, as well as working independently.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across plant and functional organizations

• Strong IT aptitude to deliver effective desktop reporting (paperless web-enabled environment), utilize business warehouse tools, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SAP knowledge would be preferable

WCM and operations excellence

  • Acts as a change agent working with the WCM team to create a continuous improvement culture.
  • Participates actively in the WCM pillars and leads WCM projects with a focus on 5S and Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
  • Accountable for level 1 PCS shift meetings to focus the production team’s actions on KPIs and drive ownership and accountability down to the shifts.
  • Promotes and ensures the daily use of the WCM tools (HERCA, QEWO, EWO, QK) to drive continuous improvement of the operations.
  • Support transition to 4.0 plant through digitalization of tools for employees and data power for analysis.

Plant Manager

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $133,000 to $213,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 17% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $155,610 to $249,210.

Maintenance Mechanic

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, and maintain industrial equipment as necessary. Troubleshoot machine breakdown and repair situations and safely restore the machine to the proper operating condition. Must adhere to all company safety policies and JSA's while performing tasks and at all times when on the premises. NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • Inspect non-operational equipment for component wear.
  • Replace non-operational components of equipment that are hindering the equipment from operating efficiently.
  • Fabricate and rebuild the components to be used on the equipment in the plant
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems throughout the process
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layout instructions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic theory.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and adequate skills to understand various plant processes.
  • Perform welding and burning functions in a safe and efficient manner

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform daily activities needed to support and comply with requirements surrounding plant maintenance activities.
  • Must be able to dismantle and repair auxiliary equipment such as pumps, compressors, and pipe systems, and perform basic welding and burning in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics, and wire control panels.
  • Fabricate machine parts for repair of the manufacturing lines.
  • Will participate in training, craft skill improvements, and department safety topics.
  • Will participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position JSA's.
  • Conduct required SMAT Audits in accordance with plant goals and objectives.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:   Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas.  Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene.  Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as fork lifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • a minimum of ten (10) years of experience and successfully pass a skills test, that is intended to determine mechanical skills and knowledge, basic electrical, A/C, and 3 phase circuits, general welding, cutting, hydraulic, pneumatics, and instrumentation knowledge and skills.
  • Basic operating knowledge and understanding of computer systems.

This position will require active participation, training, knowledge, and understanding along with progression as a 3rd class and 2nd class mechanic.

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of equipment used within the Granville site for manufacturing its lines of high value PVC & Urethane foams. The position ensures rapid pace of implementation without compromising the quality of standards.

The role leads the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment for web processing using wet coating and lamination, web handling equipment and practices, extrusions and mixing technology. This support will include compliance with all ISO standards (9001, 14001, 18001 and pending IATF 16949) within the Granville Site.

Responsibility for operational excellence via efficient plant design and function. Ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production utilizing lean and Six Sigma tools. Supports various engineering projects and resolves processing issues.

Directs activities of the site’s process engineering professionals.

Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and support goals utilizing creativity as well as excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions:

Leadership of the Process Engineering Team. Personnel coaching and creation of working processes to maximize the success of the team.

Manages multiple projects aimed at process improvement, including capital investments, process optimizations, new product introduction, corrective actions, safety improvements, and waste reduction associated with production activities. Responsible for leading and developing project team members.

Ability to effectively define problems through data analysis, propose workable solutions to minimize defects and waste. The ability to define and work on data driven six sigma type projects. Determine statistical process capabilities and implement process control systems designed to improve consistency, product yield, quality, and throughput rates.

Must be able to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased efficiency, seek and implement innovative methods to optimize process throughput and reduce costs.  Chart progress of opportunities within the methodology of the World Class Manufacturing plan, recommending countermeasures to overcome adverse variances. Provide follow up to such recommendations.

Working with R&D and manufacturing teams, management of new product industrialization and control procedures, as well as ensuring work is completed in the required timeframe and budget requirements.

Compiles technical data and other key process information to determine equipment/process specifications and establish baselines. Develop and align BOMs & Routings to be accurate and in a consistent format.
