As a Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and cultivating a team-oriented safety culture throughout the plant, with a focus on zero injuries, work-related health conditions, and spills.
  • Managing and fostering a culture of unrelenting commitment to quality, ensuring compliance with all quality standards.
  • Providing coaching and support regarding shift conflicts and disagreements related to quality and/or parts.
  • Being accountable for all aspects related to production efficiencies, including first-pass yield, cycle time, and pack rates.

  • Leading, coaching, and managing a team of machine operators and material handlers, fostering a team-oriented mindset.
  • Developing skill progression planning for employees on assigned shifts.

Please note that this will be a 2nd shift position - rotating schedule with hours being 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Requirements - What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of experience and demonstrated skill in a medium volume, fast paced manufacturing facility. - Preferred
  • Progressive work experience in a manufacturing environment 5 – 8 years - Preferred
  • Supervisory experience 3 – 5 years - Preferred
  • Strong project management skills to remove obstacles and bring projects to successful completion Required

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $66,900 to $103,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $72,900 to $112,800.

Research Engineer II - CRL Materials Characterization

The Competency Research Lab within Saint-Gobain Research North America, Northborough, MA is seeking a Research Engineer to join their Materials Characterization team.

The Research Engineer will focus primarily on molecular spectroscopy: Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy applied to the analysis of a wide variety of materials including polymers, ceramics, adhesives, films, fabrics, building materials, abrasives, and more. Additionally, this new team member will oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of test results, as well as the development and validation of new methods and advanced techniques that provide a high degree of customized problem-solving to address critical technical questions and performance observations.

As a member of Saint-Gobain Research North America CRL Materials Characterization Team, Research Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Providing multidimensional support to research and manufacturing activities using expertise in materials analysis/characterization.
  • Complex problem solving and leading project work as a part of a cross-functional team.
  • Competency development for materials characterization.
  • Responsible for all aspects of laboratory operation including safety, sample backlog, report approvals, customer interaction, instrumentation maintenance and repair, proposal, and implementation of new Capex.
  • Staying abreast of new advancements in techniques and equipment; Identify and evaluate new technologies and methods for analytical testing and characterization and lead the validation and implementation.
  • Providing expertise to R&D and manufacturing, interacting with customers.
  • Laboratory management.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience or master’s degree with a thesis in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or other related disciplines.

  • Solid experience and knowledge in applied molecular spectroscopy: IR and Raman.
  • Other experience in analytical chemistry of organics and polymers (e.g., chromatography, NMR) is a plus.

To coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and completing of engineering Capital and Expense projects within constraints of specific objectives, budgets, and target dates.   • Organizes engineering program project requirements.

We're hiring Forming Machine Operators for the 3rd shift (11 PM - 7:30 AM). Training will be on the 1st shift (7 AM - 3:30 PM) for approximately three months.

This position is responsible to set up and run department equipment to form finished bearings and bushings.

  • Operates up to 3 machines simultaneously according to standard operating procedures, or special instruction from supervisor.
  • Clears machine jams, makes adjustments as needed.
  • Performs SPC checks and procedures.
  • Monitors and updates status of work orders.
  • Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency and safety.
  • Clean and maintain machinery, tools, and work area as scheduled or as needed.
  • Maintain necessary records as required by SOPs and work instructions.
  • Visually observe, troubleshoot, and report non-conformance condition (either product or process) to supervisor, or manager as required.
  • Disassemble and reassemble machines and replace parts as required.
  • Monitor quality of product through 1st piece and final inspection as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required or as directed by supervisor.

Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining efficient operation of various drives as well as calibrating instrumentation controls throughout the manufacturing production lines.
  • Responsibility to provide support to plant staff engineers in all projects in the areas of design, installation, documentation, and training, and additional employees with various projects.
  • Implement smaller projects as requested from maintenance work orders, the process and safety teams, along with departmental suggestions.
  • Understand the statistical process control (SPC), know the product line and manufacturing standards, follow verbal and written instructions.

    • 2+ Years’ Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Required

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • Position requires a minimum of an associate degree in a technical field, and/or requisite maintenance experience that lends itself to a working knowledge of machines, their operation and spare parts needed.
    • Must demonstrate core competencies of effective communications, listening, and have strong organizational skills.
    • Must understand purchasing procedures and MRO parts distribution, be computer literate, and have the knowledge of computerized maintenance systems, or possess the ability to learn.
    • Must be comfortable with physical aspects of the plant’s environment; i.e., working with various byproducts of raw materials used in the operation.
    • Minimum time requirements of 1-year Electrician II and 12 months free of any written disciplinary (requirement for bid job procedure)
    • In order to abide by certain OSHA and local government agency regulations, mandatory safety training, protective gear, and chemical handling procedures are required.

Responsible for machine operation, computer entry, reporting, maintenance, and quality functions to attain quality, safety, production, and waste reduction goals.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Perform equipment-operating functions including start-up, set-up, production run, shutdown, and housekeeping functions as a crew.
  • Perform computer operations, obtain order information, order changes, etc. as required.
  • Perform accurate reporting functions.
  • Maintain continuous operations by performing minor maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Maintain close attention to detail with the goal of producing a quality product with a minimum waste.
  • Perform Back to Basics inspection.
  • Read, interpret, and perform production functions according to work orders and specifications presented on computer screen and/or in hard copy. Ensure that adequate supplies and materials are available as required.
  • Interact effectively within a team-oriented work group and with others to attain or surpass quality, production, safety, and waste reduction goals.
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines and perform required safety checks. Performs operations in a manner that ensures a safe working environment for all members of the crew.
  • Analyze statistical process control charts and take appropriate action as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to stand or bend continuously during a defined shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Ability to work 40 hours during a defined shift, plus overtime as required.

Provide support to Senior Manager – Exterior Products Training in development, creation and implementation of contractor training program with a focus on sales, product knowledge and business growth. Assist Exterior Products Training Specialist team with installation training across all product lines of the Exterior Products Group. Works intimately with Exterior Products Group sales and product management teams to provide technical installation support.

  • Contractor business development and success training – 50%
  • Assist Exterior Products Training Specialist team with hands-on installation trainings – 30%
  • Provide technical support to CT personnel and external customers – 10%

What do you bring?

Bachelor’s degree a plus. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in the construction industry. TRAVEL: 50% overnight travel

Positions self to install and uninstall product during installation demos as well as safely climb a ladder. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $ $135,800.
