Supplier Quality Leader
Position Description
Job Summary

This role will have technical ownership of key raw materials supplier performance and balance the technical and commercial aspects with Suppliers to drive continuous improvement and variation reduction while meeting semiconductor industry quality standards. This role will also partner with commercial, plant quality and process teams to improve understanding of raw material interactions and process impacts to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership and improve sustainability.

Essential Functions:

Manage key raw material quality, grading, and segregation. Proactively monitor SPC trend reviews for raw materials and report out findings and corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement for assigned key raw materials and suppliers, including use of scorecard and audit tools

Serve as a technical owner for supplier changes as it impacts raw material ownership. Drive supplier corrective actions through the SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) process. Own key supplier audits, technical problem-solving initiatives, including customer complaints and excursion investigations that intersect with raw material properties.

Work closely with purchasing teams to develop Business Continuity Plans (BCP), qualifying new materials, Suppliers, or Sub-suppliers and rationalizing as needed. Partner with technical and commercial teams to define critical raw material specifications and communicate them to suppliers for agreement and compliance and align with company wide sourcing and sustainability priorities

Collaborate with development teams on high quality and cost-effective material solutions for the next generation of products. Collaborate with suppliers on material design, scaling up, supplier process, and raw material/ product data analysis.

Up to 25% travel (domestic and occasional international travel) 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials/ Polymer Science, or equivalent is required

Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials/ Polymer Science, or equivalent is preferred

Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt or equivalent and experience in manufacturing of specialty chemicals, semiconductors, life sciences is required

Statistical tools (Minitab or equivalent) is required

Raw material quality and/or technical supplier ownership in manufacturing of specialty chemicals, semiconductors, life sciences is preferred

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $85,200 to $131,900 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $95,400 to $147,700. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring quality and packaging of CertainTeed Corner products in a safe and efficient manner, while maintaining high productivity and a low scrap rate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Working Safe. Follows procedures, checklists, and safety protocols
  • Qualified to Tail-Off a production line producing: NoCoat O/S 90, NoCoat 325, Levelline O/S 90, Levelline Flex,
  • Qualified to Operate a production line producing: NoCoat O/S 90, NoCoat 325, Levelline O/S 90, Levelline Flex
  • Inspect products for flaws and defects, immediately alert the team of any problems or defects immediately, and package each product correctly
  • Keep lines and production floor clean and free of debris and stocked for incoming shifts
  • Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e. work orders), read and understand specifications for all products
  • Keep supervisors, operators, and other teammates informed of all problems or relative production concerns
  • Build boxes, clean and maintain printers, keep track of tools and equipment, and ensure all needed supplies are available
  • Work closely with team members to be more efficient, troubleshooting problems and helping find new or better solutions
  • Participate in and promote continuous improvement ideas
  • Set up and have the ability to start up a production line from idle to a run state
  • LOTO trained (Lock Out/Tag Out)

WORKING CONDITIONS

Long hours are sometimes necessary to meet deadlines. Night shift work is required for some candidates. The working environment will include extended periods of standing and seasonal temperature extremes occur during peak summer months. These environments may include exposure to industrial solvents, above-average noise levels, and hazardous materials, all of which must be mitigated with Personal Protective Equipment.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • A high school diploma or GED is required

Job Summary

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager provides leadership and guidance for all employees to continuously improve facility safety, health, and environmental metrics to world-class levels by engaging and interacting with all employees.

The EHS Manager is responsible for the development & implementation of programs that comply with federal, state, and local EH&S regulations. The incumbent will manage the complete EH&S programs for the Mount Pleasant, TN facility in accordance with Saint-Gobain standards, to minimize all EH&S risks and reduce potential liabilities. The incumbent will be responsible for regulatory and company environmental compliance activity and facilitating the site Environmental Management System (EMS). This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work closely with the Plant Supervisors, Department Managers, and employees to provide the proper training and guidance for compliance with all governmental regulations and facility policies.

Site Responsibility

  • Provide program leadership, guidance, expertise, and technical support to management and employee-led safety and environmental committees in the identification, measurement, and control of EHS risks.
  • Analyze and understand plant operations, determine their impact on employee safety, health, and the environment, and work with managers, supervisors, and employees to develop and comply with EHS policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, train, counsel, and enforce EHS policies and procedures consistent with Saint-Gobain and CBI group standards.
  • Participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position JSA and SOPs to ensure environmental impacts are analyzed.
  • Maintains all plant safety statistics data in the reporting system
  • Compiles and submits agency reporting and maintains safety, health & environmental files and records
  • Drive initiatives to shift the safety culture towards a more preventive and employee-driven approach.

Risk Analysis & Mitigation

  • Performs incident response and management including incident investigations, root cause analysis, development and implementation of corrective action plans, and related documentation and communication.
  • Support the planning and implementation of EHS loss prevention programs and projects necessary to control exposures to losses such as occupational injuries and illnesses, environmental contamination, and property damage at the incumbent’s site.
  • Performs facility and operational EH&S reviews to identify deviations from regulatory or company requirements and collaborates with stakeholders to identify options for corrective action.
  • Assists in risk management property insurance inspections, and manages all required corrections.

Integrated Management Systems & Control

  • Utilize computerized database management systems, investigate, and publish incident data concerning company and departmental loss experience, i.e., types, root causes, and frequency of injuries, illnesses, spills, and releases.
  • Ensure that proper monitoring of workplace exposures to potentially harmful chemicals/materials/conditions is performed by proper sampling protocols. Compile and analyze data and make recommendations for improvements.

Reporting & Liaison

  • Maintains EPA records of hazardous waste, air emission permits, and water pollution discharge, as well as industrial health monitoring and records of employee hazard exposure according to OSHA regulations.
  • Interact with agency contacts & lead on-site visits or inspections from EHS regulatory personnel.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, Engineering, or Environmental Sciences is required
  • 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated experience in effective implementation of safety programs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to function in a team-oriented atmosphere with little to no supervision
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Possesses strong analytic work methodology and problem-solving skills and demonstrates a systematic approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office, including Excel/Word/PowerPoint and other programs as needed
  • Successful candidate must exhibit model behavior as related to site EHS policies and practices
  • Must be able to influence without authority to accomplish change on the plant floor

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisors, the Extrusion Operator is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient manufacture change-over, and setup of tubing; profile extrusions, and braided tubing, including winding, packaging, and Quality functions.

Daily Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining line speeds while generating minimal scrap

We are seeking an Automation/MES Engineer, based in Malvern Pennsylvania in a hybrid work environment. This exciting position will be supporting the digital transformation and sustainability in manufactory for CertainTeed Roofing products in North America. PAC/PLC Control Systems

  • Develop/adopt future thinking automation and controls standards
  • Utilize the control standards for development and implementation of the automation and controls obsolesce program roadmap.
  • Development and implementation of a systematic back up/recovery and change control program for PAC/PLC, HMI and associated peripheral equipment programs.
  • Support the factory Automation and Controls Engineers (s) in the below areas:
  • Troubleshooting production PAC/PLC’s, their control systems and associated hardware
  • Troubleshooting production VFD and servo drive systems, HMI systems and code
  • PAC/PLC, HMI and drive system programming
  • Ability to Interpret electrical schematics, industrial network schematics and complex safety circuit networks.

System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following; Wonderware System Platform, Rockwell SE, Inductive Automation Ignition and associated Historians
  • OPC Servers, MS SQL Server to support guided configuration and enhancements

  • Work with factories to perform security updates and maintain backup and recovery plans for SCADA/MES.

Operational Technology [OT]

  • Intermediate troubleshooting of Microsoft Server platforms using remote desktop protocol
  • Intermediate troubleshooting of network switches, Internet Protocol routing and machine messaging protocols. TCP/IP, Modbus, DH+, RS ControlNet etc.
  • Working knowledge of the DMZ Firewall architecture
  • Development and implementation of standards to maintain Factory Systems access control with Active Directory Groups and accounts used to interface with the SCADA/MES systems

Industrial Performance Improvement

  • Ensure accurate documentation of all local MES&A platforms. Technical Architecture Manuals and Technical Operations Manuals.

Competency Building

Job Summary

The primary function of the Electronic Technician (ET) is to bridge the gap between the plants Industrial Electricians and Engineering staff by providing electrical/electronic troubleshooting support and the preventative/predictive maintenance of electrical & electronic equipment at the state-of-the-art Glass Mat facility in Oxford, NC.

  • Responsible for the troubleshooting of PLC’s related to safety, automation, and control systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and calibration of thermocouples, RTD’s, level sensing devices, thickness detectors, consistency transmitters, load cells and other electrical/electronic devices.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Provide support to the Engineering department on new installations of electronic control equipment.
  • Assist the electrical department as needed in troubleshooting of plant equipment, machinery, utilities, and safety systems.
  • Assist management in root-cause analysis on losses related to electrical/electronic failures.
  • To closely work with the other Maintenance department crafts to support initiatives that improves equipment reliability.

  • Participation and completion of required Environmental, Health and Safety training. Responsible for performing SMAT observations and other audit programs, cleaning, painting, and maintaining 5S system.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
