WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Executive Assistant reports to the Business Operations Manager and also supports administrative duties for the CEO. The role is responsible for coordinating a wide range of administrative procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency of executive leadership in our Malvern Headquarters.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Prepare and complete regular reports for the CEO communicating status of successes and progress to key performance indicators.
  • Create and assist with the preparation of presentations and proposals for CEO and Business Operations Manager.
  • Manage site contact lists as well as relevant customer data.
  • Work with the support teams to ensure information relevant to our support activities is available and shared efficiently & effectively within the company.
  • Develop and enhance internal and external systems for communication.
  • Arrange and manage executive and management team schedules, calendars, appointments, bookings, and travel arrangements (as needed).
  • Coordinate executive communications, including conference calls
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of various projects including project management tasks.
  • Coordinate and arrange events for support groups to take place outside of the workplace, such as staff meetings, offsite meetings, training events, and conferences.
  • Assist in preparation and distribution of agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time. This includes support for remediation and due diligence tracking activities and related invoicing.
  • Design and implement filing systems, and ensure filing systems are maintained and current

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Diploma 
  • 3-4 years of professional experience assisting at the executive level
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical skills, time management, and travel logistics.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and SharePoint with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software such as SAP Concur, Sales Force, Dodge and CoStar.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.

Raw Material Supply Chain Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

What’s the job?

**This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days a week expected in our Malvern, PA headquarters**

  • Production Planning and scheduling for raw materials and sourced products: 40%

• Develop procurement plans of key raw materials to meet production demands and working capital targets

• Daily, weekly, monthly, review of existing and future raw material requirements

• Collect and review for accuracy monthly forecast projections of glass mat and key raw materials

• Maintain raw material planning data to best utilize our planning system

• Create Raw Material reviews w plant RM planners for all GCP sites (WP, FP)

• Provide raw material allocation between facilities when needed • Develop and optimize transportation plans for key raw materials- as needed

• Ensure that RM delivery schedules support monthly production volumes

· Working with the production plants, ensure that raw materials cover production schedules are being delivered to meet requirements and properly communicate availability dates or interruptions

· Identify and report Slow Moving and Obsolete materials at the plants and work with RM planners to turn inventory.

· Create Raw Material annual KPIs, review Raw Material Inventory targets report for all GCP/CBE (WP and FP) plants

· Attend the following meetings; Service Advantage & Shipment update, Scheduling Communication, Weekly RM Supply review, Weekly Staff Meeting, and GCP S&OP and RM S&OP reviews and meetings.

Forecast specified raw materials and sourced products: 20%

• Working with the purchasing and manufacturing departments, monitor and plan the usage of the key raw materials and sourced products

• Provides quarterly vendor forecasts and annual Raw Material budget information and plans

• Performs annual Raw Material Inventory counts with the plants

Process Monitoring and Management: 20%

• Create and participate in weekly raw material meetings

• Manage the GCP/CBE plants raw materials

• Monitor plants raw material inventory levels to ensure they meet all production requirements

• Alert necessary team members and vendors to issues • Create and monitor sourced items inventory reports, managing purchased finished goods service levels. Alert purchasing to risk situations and requirements.

Project and process improvement activities: 10%

Process Improvement, Six Sigma, SAP Super User Responsibility: 10%

What’s the job?

The position focuses on overall process and project management, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, engineering, and strategic automation. Responsible for participating in process design, capability, and control; including designing, selecting, accepting and developing processes for new production and automation equipment. Capital planning and project management are key required competencies.

Responsible for strategic and tactical planning to control the risks associated with process development and industrialization. Perform individual analysis or lead analysis teams to identify the critical parameters required to produce quality products, which meet or exceed product specifications. In addition, a commitment to statistical analysis tools is critical for the successful support of the appropriate WCM (Operational Excellence) pillars.

This role will be required to have sound technical and leadership abilities, along with structured and methodical project management skills, i.e., project charter development, statement of work, project planning and scheduling, actions and deliverables, milestones, risk assessment and proactive corrective actions, good management and controls, excellent documentation, and thorough supportive project handoff. This role is accountable for overall engineering project management with advanced technical support in the areas of safety and productivity.

Accountable for install, setup, troubleshoot and validate engineering projects group wide. Excellent understanding of engineering fundamental principles and their applications and be a project management professional or have equivalent experience. A strong IQ and EQ balance, i.e., strong mechanical, chemical, and electrical knowledge and a strong collaborative and engaging leadership style. Knowledge of mechanical assemblies, drive components and electrical equipment ability to perform electrical and mechanical testing and troubleshooting utilizing schematics and experience, i.e., mechanical drives, industrial process control systems and production equipment, PLC’s, HMI’s, hydraulic motors, pumps and valves, material handling equipment, extrusion equipment, bulk chemical systems, batch mixing, facility equipment and packaging equipment. The role requires your commitment, support, and complete ownership through the end of each project where you do not segue the project to the group once it is completely validated and then closed out.

Pay Transparency

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,260 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

A Manufacturing Process Engineer, is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.

This Engineer will develop and implement World Class Manufacturing projects, production and processing methods, and controls to meet customer-based quality standards in the most cost-effective manner. Through the application of engineering fundamentals and advanced process control statistical tools, they will ensure processes are centered, capable, in control, will reduce process variations, and resolve special causes of variation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes follow all government laws and regulations.
  • Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
  • Complete material and energy balances, develop process
  • Use Focus Improvement and Kaizen
  • Ability to optimize processes, improve efficiency and troubleshoot
  • Participate and run trials at manufacturing facilities to evaluate equipment, process, and raw material

 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Management, or related technical discipline preferred; Three years of equivalent experience that provides a comprehensive working knowledge of the laws, regulations, practices, and procedures of a lean/world-class manufacturing operation may be substituted for a degree.
  • Ability to work with others to organize, plan, and solve problems at all levels of the organization.
  • Prior Lean experience with a working knowledge of the Toyota Production System and World-Class principles and practices.

The Milk Runner Assistant role will support the manufacturing process by bringing materials/components to the appropriate production lines for Sekurit.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Restocks and organizes inventory on shelves; includes opening new pallets and re palletizing as needed.
  • Prepares chemicals for all lines (according Kanbans and milkrun route), maintains chemical consumption log and visual management of lot numbers
  • Prepares picking area on shelves; manages batch / lot in SAP. Issues inventory to production in SAP
  • Oversees Kanban and waste collection activities in Production and the General Warehouse
  • Brings chemical drums to hazmat storage
  • Stocks General Warehouse shelves, including opening new pallets, re-palletizing as needed
  • Manages FIFO and ensures lot numbers are marked and displayed on all strategic components. Coordinate changes with production, Production plan, Label requirements, Special campaigns

 

Hourly Rate: $17.00 hour + $0.50 shift differential

2nd Shift (M-F 2:00pm to 10:30pm)

  • Directs and coaches Performance Team Engineers by coaching for optimal performance and providing leadership and information needed to empower employees to achieve corporate, plant, department, and individual goals, from both an immediate and long-term perspective.
  • Act as a plant change agent, leading & coordinating the Company Lean, WCM, and Continuous Improvement transformation.
  • Guides Performance Team to teach and promote the use of Lean principles & WCM tools.
  • Develop and report key metrics that track the progress of Continuous Improvement initiatives versus goals.
  • Development &/or customization of training materials for classroom & factory floor settings.
  • Collaborate with plant teams to utilize visual management.

This position will guide maintenance and be responsible for the physical plant including buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment, in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and fire prevention standards. This Manager will also manage plant engineering activities to include capital expenditures, designs, cost estimations, capital requests, and selection/construction projects.The Senior Engineering and Maintenance Manager reports to the plant Senior Operations Manager. Reporting directly this Manager is a team of maintenance professionals and engineers

Below are some of the responsibilities this person will perform:

  • Develop departmental strategy and provide leadership to all departmental employees in the control & improvement of production processes, efficiency improvements, cost–savings initiatives, and CAPEX projects. Identifies and utilizes various change management strategies to overcome organizational roadblocks and achieve desired change levels and review outcomes for effectiveness. Primary interface with governmental agencies and compliance inspectors.
  • Effectively and continuously communicating with engineering, maintenance, operations and warehouse personnel and plant management. Internal contacts involve all plant teams in process control, purchasing and accounting personnel on requisitions and capital request data, and corporate engineering on special projects. Coordinates production to meet customer demands ensuring the maintenance work and project implementation outages are optimized.
  • Significant problem-solving situations involve scheduling of preventative and predictive maintenance programs and the installation, modification and /or repair of equipment in a manner which will assure employee safety, minimize production downtime, and assure product quality.
  • Directly leads all employees using team building, coaching, and teaching skills and knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to lead the PM activities in expansion of lean manufacturing to all areas of the plant.

Senior Research Engineer I - Filtration Technology

Saint Gobain Research North America’s Life Sciences Filtration Technologies team is searching for a talented Senior Research Engineer I to join their team.

The position of Senior Research Engineer I will be responsible for researching and developing new technologies to strengthen and expand our filtration offerings. The selected candidate will lead R&D projects from the initial stages of conceptualization and prototyping through experimental testing and commercialization by leveraging their experience and materials science expertise. This role involves close collaboration with R&D colleagues, the commercial team, application engineers, and end-users. Projects will focus on understanding filtration technology landscape, identifying unmet industry pain points, and developing innovative solutions to meet customer needs.

This role will be located at the Saint-Gobain North America Research Center, and it will work closely with the Life Sciences R&D teams and Competency Research Laboratories. The Filtration portfolio covers markets and applications such as medical devices, biopharma, cell and gene therapy, diagnostics, and semiconductor manufacturing.

Essential Functions

  • Utilizes strong research and/or project experiences and broad expertise in engineering and material science to improve on/or develop new filtration solutions.
  • Manages projects from inception through scale-up. Manages multiple projects simultaneously, on time, well documented and within budget to meet business and customer objectives. Able to balance creativity with process and documentation.
  • Builds close relationships with customers, product management, R&D team, application engineers, and position himself/herself as a technical expert to address customer challenges, explain our products and technology, and assist with product and application development.
  • Work with quality, customers and application engineers to troubleshoot and analyze complaints and differentiate between application and product-related issues. Aids in the investigation and timely resolution of quality complaints.
  • Stays aware of new technology and product developments within the markets and applications of interest to the Life Science Business.
  • Excellent communicator who can communicate technically with internal and external collaborators and utilize knowledge to identify solutions, advance projects and identify productive synergies.
  • Understands Gate Process and Change/Design Control methodology/ideology and utilizes and incorporates it in projects.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Education:

BS degree and 7 years’ experience, MS degree and 3 years’ experience or PhD (entry level) in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields.

Experience – Required:

  • 4+ years of experience with fundamental research, product development, application development, or manufacturing experience in Life Science fields.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience on laboratory work, preferably in Life science applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in the management or running a project. Includes creating timelines, costing, communicating, presenting to leadership, etc.

Experience – Preferred:

  • 3+ years of strong fundamental and practical knowledge of filtration technology and applications in markets such as Biopharma, medical, and microelectronics.
    • 3+ years of experience in the development of filtration products and applications.
