Description du poste

Diriger et développer la mise en œuvre sécuritaire de projets d'investissement pour les usines de traitement, y compris le développement et la conception, l'approvisionnement, l'installation et la mise en service. Diriger et développer la mise en œuvre des plans de maintenance des équipements d’exploitation et des équipements électriques. 

  • Diriger le développement et la maintenance de la distribution de l'énergie pour offrir le meilleur rendement au moindre coût en tenant dûment compte de la sécurité, de l'opérabilité, de la maintenabilité et de la conformité légale.
  • Définir et développer des conceptions et des structures initiales pour des projets d'investissement, puis les développer en plans et en dessins détaillés.
  • Fournir des études de faisabilité, des spécifications et des estimations budgétaires pour les projets d'investissement.
  • Soutenir les ingénieurs mécaniques et les gestionnaires de projet des usines locales sur les projets entrepris par les opérations existantes afin de livrer les installations dans les délais et en respectant le budget.
  • Diriger la mise en œuvre des projets d'investissement approuvés.
  • Être à l’aise de travailler sur des phases de planification allant jusqu'à trois ans. Être conscient et anticiper les impacts des objectifs actuels sur la stratégie commerciale plus vaste et suggérer des moyens de façonner la stratégie.
  • Être un expert crédible, fournir un soutien expert aux usines de production.
  • Assurer un transfert efficace des projets en garantissant une documentation complète, une formation, un soutien, etc.
  • Fournir une expertise électrique et un soutien à l'usine.
  • Mettre en service de nouveaux équipements et procédés.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Technical Operator will be responsible for successfully operating equipment, evaluating samples, and compiling information and reports. The list of duties includes but are not limited to:

SAFETY

  • Always support a safe working environment in all areas of plant and with all employee interactions.

SUPPORT PLANT OPERATIONS

  • Daily operations include, but aren’t limited to, safety, quality, housekeeping, operations, maintenance, material handling, and inventory management.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous work experience in Lean Principles or WCM is a plus but not required.
  • Essential and marginal functions require maintaining good physical condition necessary for standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  • Incumbent will exert an average force of 50 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull and/or transfer equipment and materials; this role requires considerable walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • May lift and stack heavy objects not to exceed 50 pounds and carry these items up to 50 feet of distance.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and walkways associated with industrial manufacturing environments.

Des travaux sont en cours à notre usine CertainTeed Canada située tout près de Montréal afin qu'elle devienne la première usine de panneaux muraux à zéro carbone net en Amérique du Nord pour les émissions de portées 1 et 2.

  • Conception de programme : développer un programme complet qui répond aux besoins spécifiques des équipes d'ingénierie de fabrication pour la production et la maintenance.
  • Développement de matériel pédagogique : concevoir et produire du matériel de formation de haute qualité, notamment des aide-mémoires, des vidéos pédagogiques, des manuels, des modules d'apprentissage en ligne, des questionnaires et des ateliers de formation pratique adaptés aux environnements de fabrication.
  • Intégration de l’apprentissage en ligne et de technologies : utiliser des systèmes de gestion de l'apprentissage (SGA), des simulations interactives et d'autres plateformes numériques pour fournir des solutions de formation évolutives. Intégrer des technologies pédagogiques modernes telles que l'outil Gen AI piloté par Saint-Gobain France.

Job Summary

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Facilities Technician position involves knowledge of carpentry, maintaining lighting fixtures, basic machine maintenance, maintaining coolant systems, equipment and housekeeping. The role will also complete any duties required by the Maintenance Lead or Facilities Manager. He/She will also be expected Identify and resolve basic process problems and implement cost reduction ideas as well as address any urgent safety concerns.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles

• Operate scissor lift and basic fork lift. Experience with both is required, certification will be provided during the course of employment.

• Knowledge of lock-out, tag-out procedure • Forklift skills are a requirement, with the ability to load and unload storage racking systems safely

• The safe use of elevated platform trucks is a requirement for changing lights

• Warehousing of incoming inventory

• Basic electrical knowledge (i.e., determine if power is on/off, for LOTO purposes and changing bulbs)

• Basic plumbing and pipe fitting used on coolant systems

• Basic machine repair (belts adjustment, filter replacement, disassembly/reassembly of coolant systems)

• Basic carpentry tools saws, drills etc.

• Housekeeping of the entire facility which includes machine coolant changes, trash changes, shoveling/salting sidewalks, setting up and tearing down for events, etc.

• Basic hand tools knowledge

• Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required.

• Conduct safety observations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required by our plant EHS. Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment.

The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The Role

The successful candidate will exercise a working knowledge of the theories and practice of electric, electronic, pneumatic, combustion, and instrumentation systems; including test equipment. The Electronic Controls Repairperson will read, understand and work from all types of drawings, prints, and system diagrams and specifications with the highest degree of skill in their performance of maintenance installation and troubleshooting. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of the range of voltages, Allen Bradley PLCs, instrumentation experience, troubleshooting 4-20 mA circuits, variable frequency drives, power generators, transformers, lighting, and servos along with Yokogawa DCS systems.

The Role
What’s the job?

The CertainTeed facility in L’Anse Michigan manufactures ceiling tiles. We work hard together to create an environment that teaches our employees manufacturing skills. We are looking for a dedicated maintenance mechanic to increase our team’s efficiencies by supporting maintaining our facilities and equipment.

Schedule: Training conducted on day shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) with rotating shifts after training is completed. Individuals must be flexible on shift hours assigned and overtime requirements.

Compensation: Starting wage $29.98-$31.80 depending on experience.

  • Follow all safety rules and rules as established in the employee handbook.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Operate various hand tools including the use of hand grinders, drills, pneumatic air guns, etc.
  • Must have the ability to read machine diagrams and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • May perform basic/precision maintenance duties to include: reducer/coupling alignment, motor alignment, mounting taper bore bearings with taper sleeve adaptors, mount pillow block, and flange bearing to specifications.
  • Has the ability to dismantle, repair, and reassemble conveying systems (live roller, belt, and screw).
  • Has the ability to operate metal saws; is proficient in drilling/tapping.
  • Is proficient in welding, oxy/acetylene cutting, and plasma cutting.
  • Completes maintenance work orders as needed.
  • Maintains good housekeeping as established by Operator Duty Sheets and identifies gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Operates forklift as needed.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition.

Primary Functions:

The EHS Manager will provide direction and leadership to all plant department managers, supervisors and employees in matters dealing with EHS related matters and will serve as leader for the plant’s various safety efforts. Lead and oversee the efforts in support of the site's Statistical and Non-Statistical goals. Exhibits model behavior as related to EHS policies and practices and enforces safety rules and regulations in a manner consistent with the corporate Values and Attitudes. Work closely with RPG Safety Leadership and Regional Support.

Change Agent: Proactively drive awareness and communicate best practices related to Safety, promoting an autonomous EHS culture. Develop, schedule and deliver impactful and interactive training to supervisors, employees and contractors on subjects related to EHS. Identify and champion impactful initiatives seeking continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental compliance.

Safety Practices: Continuously inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, processes, and workplace to ensure compliance with government safety regulations, corporation, and industry standards. Oversee investigations and reporting of incidents including near-miss, First-Aid and Accidents involving injuries and/or property damage and make recommendations for corrective action. Oversee and maintain site risk assessment initiatives such as Risk Assessments and develop and implement action plans. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Production Departments to ensure machinery, tooling, and all equipment are safe and ergonomically sound.

Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the filing of all internal, corporate, local, state, and federal reporting relating to regulatory compliance and maintain ISO 14001. Responsible to stay abreast of current OSHA requirements and act as Site liaison for OSHA and maintain hazardous waste disposal program. Lead First Aid/CPR, PPE, and AED programs. Creates, implements, trains and audits environmental, health and safety policies, procedures, and practices for Fremont.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree four-year advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, Safety Sciences - Preferred
  • Three to five years’ experience in California safety/environmental management experience or related field.
